What is Rio Salado's admission policy?
Rio Salado has an open admission policy. Anyone can attend who:
- Is a graduate of a high school, which is accredited by a regional accrediting association as defined by the United States Office of Education or approved by a State Department of Education or other appropriate state educational agency.
- Has a high school certificate or equivalency (HSE/GED).
- Is at least 18 years of age and demonstrates evidence of potential success in the community college.
- Is a transfer student in good standing from another college or university.
- Has completed special admission requirements outlined in the college catalog Admission Policy classifications.
What is an MEID?
MEID stands for Maricopa Enterprise ID. An MEID is an assigned username you will use to access the Online Student Center. As a student, your MEID will consist of three letters and seven numbers and is not related to your Social Security Number in any way. In order to discover or establish an MEID, visit my.maricopa.edu.
What is a student ID?
A student ID is an eight-digit, system-generated number. All continuing students have already been assigned an ID number, which is discovered in students’ online Student Center. All brand-new students will be assigned a system-generated number when they create their student account. Your student ID is not related to your Social Security Number in any way, even if you previously used your SSN as your ID.

Can I see a detailed list of my tuition and fees?
Yes! Once you register for courses, you can see a summary of all charges posted to your student account in your Online Student Center. To see a detailed breakdown of charges, including lab and course fees, select “Account Inquiries” under the Finances heading. To see basic tuition and fee rates prior to enrolling in a course, please visit our Tuition and Fees page.
Is there a recommended web browser I should use?
Your Online Student Center at my.maricopa.edu is best accessed with Internet Explorer (IE). Other browsers will work, but we’ve seen best results and fewest problems using IE.
