The college is one of the largest online public community colleges in the nation, serving nearly 53,000 students annually with nearly 28,000 online in all 50 states and internationally. Rio Salado has been providing higher education for over 40 years and is a leading institution in online education. Rio Salado College began offering online education over 20 years ago.

The National Division
Our National Division is dedicated to providing our out-of-state students with the same level of personalized care and support that our Arizona students receive. National students have access to a team of Success Coaches who are trained to provide exemplary service in financial aid, advisement, and enrollment. National students also get a tuition rate capped at eleven credits per semester.
Rio Salado College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The Higher Learning Commission is one of six regional accrediting bodies in the United States. It is officially recognized as an accrediting body by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). CHEA is an association of 3,000 degree-granting colleges and universities and recognizes 60 institutional and programmatic accrediting organizations.
