Find out where you fit in best at Rio Salado by taking guided self-placement tests.

Start Off Right Where You Need To Be

At Rio Salado College, we offer four placement options for English, Math, and Reading courses:

  • Placement using the GPA on your high school transcript
  • Placement with an ACT score
  • Placement with a GED score
  • Placement testing

Course placement lets us know your level of experience and skill in these subjects and helps us find the right courses for you to start off your education at Rio.

Guided Self-Placement

Students can find their placement in Mathematics, English, and Reading by going through one of these two self-placement processes.
