Partnerships at Rio Salado

We've partnered with educational institutions and business organizations around the country to provide transfer opportunities to students.

Transfer Partners

"Teamwork makes the dream work." At Rio Salado College, we're all about doing whatever we can to help you achieve your educational dreams. Sometimes that means helping you move on to the next level of learning by transferring to a different school to get your four-year degree or pursue a different field of study. That’s why we’ve established articulation agreements with schools across the U.S. to make transferring credits as smooth as possible. The work you do at Rio shouldn’t stay at Rio—we’ll help you get it to where you need to go next.

We also have transfer agreements in place to help students bring their credits TO Rio. So if you’re looking to pick up some extra classes or you’re eager to pick up a certificate or two-year degree, our team of experts can help you figure out how to transfer your past work. When it comes to transferring, always make sure you reach out to the Admissions Office at the institution you’re going to to make sure that your credits will transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I apply to a university?

Determine when you want to start at your intended university. Contact the Admissions Office early in the process to learn about the application requirements and deadlines, where transcripts should be sent, if any further testing is required, or if letters of recommendation are needed. You do not need to be completely finished with your community college courses in order to apply.

  • Will Rio Salado courses transfer?

With all of our partnerships, “block” transfer may be available depending on the associate degree and future major. With block transfer, the entire associate degree transfers without loss of credit. An academic advisor can tell you before you take a course if and how it will transfer to our three state universities.

Even outside the partnerships, our courses will most likely transfer. Rio Salado is a regionally accredited institution. Most coursework completed at a regionally accredited institution is transferable to another regionally accredited institution. Contact your future university to verify course transfer.

  • What if I have trouble transferring courses to a partner university?

If you experience any issues with course transfer, contact your Rio Salado Success Coach or the Rio Salado Advisement Office.
